Volt Lines, the Turkish ride-sharing service company, has raised $1.28 million from pre-series A round led by Dubai Angel Investors, Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP) and other investors in the Middle East region, including MENA Angel Investor took part in this startup fund raising.
Volt Lines was founded in October 2017. It is a subscription-based transportation service for corporate users in Istanbul. Having an account with Volt Lines allows the user to access unlimited rides on Volt Lines buses during commute hours from Monday to Friday.
Volt Lines aims to make shuttle buses more efficient and dynamic by offering an alternative in the transportation network that can even replace car ownership. Using Volt buses can be 70% cheaper than taking a cab.
According to Volt Lines, the main objective of raising money this round is to expand their engineering team so that they could increase their growth in Istanbul before moving to another country outside Turkey.
MENA Angel Investor looks forward to support Volt and to see the company grow to cover the wider Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
